PricingYour clinical assessment includes a consultation about your symptoms, a thorough examination, and discussion of findings with treatment options. Most assessments involve flexible or rigid endoscopy to examine the nasal cavity and throat, with additional procedures performed if needed.
Step One
After your consultation with David or Vanessa, you will receive an email containing information about your upcoming surgery.
You can contact our team to discuss or change your operation date.
Step Two
Secure Insurance / Prior Approval
We will advise if you need to apply for prior approval with your insurer. Please review the estimate letter sent in a secondary email and forward it to your insurer immediately. Email a copy of your approval letter to us at info@tuhauora.co.nz at least 1 week before surgery to avoid postponement.
Step Three
Register and complete your pre-admission forms via Personify.
Important: Use a unique mobile number per family member.
Past Patients: If you or your child have had surgery at Kensington Hospital in the last 3 years, let us know so we can send you a faster "Log In" link instead.

PolicyPlease let our team know if you have surgical cover, 80% cover, or full cover. As we are unable to advise on the details of your policy, our admin team can submit a payment request after your consultation. Any costs not covered by Southern Cross will be your responsibility.
SurgeryDavid is an affiliated provider for certain healthcare services. Depending on your procedure, we may be able to request prior approval on your behalf. Our team will go over these details with you during your consultation.

If your operation is 'non-affilaited', we will email you an estimate reflecting the cost of your procedure.
The estimate includes three separate fees. 1x Surgeon Fee, 1x Hospital Fee, and 1x Anaesthetist Fee.
Please forward the estimate to Southern Cross for surgical pre-approval. Once your request has been accepted, please send us a copy of your approval letter.
