After your consultation with David or Vanessa, you will receive an email containing information about your upcoming surgery.
You can contact our team to discuss or change your operation date.
Step Two
Secure Insurance / Prior Approval
We will advise if you need to apply for prior approval with your insurer. Please review the estimate letter sent in a secondary email and forward it to your insurer immediately. Email a copy of your approval letter to us at info@tuhauora.co.nz at least 1 week before surgery to avoid postponement.
Step Three
Register and complete your pre-admission forms via Personify.
Important: Use a unique mobile number per family member.
Past Patients: If you or your child have had surgery at Kensington Hospital in the last 3 years, let us know so we can send you a faster "Log In" link instead.

Admission & Arrival
Register with Personify Care so the admissions team can communicate with you about pre-admission times and instructions. You should also receive a call from the Anaesthetist a few days before your operation.
Allevia Kensington Private Hospital's admissions team will notify you about your admission three days before your surgery.
Affiliated Operations
If you are a Southern Cross member and have an upcoming operation with us, you may be required to obtain prior approval. Please click the button below for further information.
Estimates & Prior-approval
The Anaesthetist and Hospital fee may vary depending on the length of your procedure and the equipment used.

Our team will send you an estimate combined of 3 separate fees.
Please review and forward the estimate to your insurance company for prior approval. Let us know when you have received approval or wish to proceed.
Payment after your operation
After your operation, you will receive three separate invoices. They will be sent out via email or post. Once you have received all three invoices, please send them to your insurance company for payment.
Local Anaesthetic Procedures (RBP)
If you are booked for a Rooms Based Procedure you will be conscious / awake. The procedure will be performed under Local Anaesthetic in the Tūhauora Clinical Procedure Room.
If you require a General Anaesthetic your operation will be done in theatre at Allevia Kensington Private Hospital.
